11 Golf Facilities in Canada 2017 Edition © Golf Canada and The PGA of Canada N ew Brunswick is home to many of the most memorable courses in the Maritimes, from stunning links along the Atlantic coast to mature forests lining lush fairways. With 2000 KM's of coast line and no more than one hour between courses, golf facilities in New Brunswick offer a treat for every kind of golfer. New Brunswick is home to 54 golf facilities with only four private clubs. Sixty-five percent of the facilities in the province feature 18 holes or more. There have been three new golf facilities opened in New Brunswick since 2003 — the latest being the West Hills Golf Club in Fredericton, which opened its first nine holes in 2015 and is under construction with a 9-hole addition expected to be completed in 2017. DID YOU KNOW? Golfers in New Brunswick are also anxiously awaiting the redesign of Algonquin Golf Course (done by Rod Whitman, of Cabot Links fame), set to open in spring 2017. It's an 18-hole beauty set along the shores of the Passamaquoddy Bay on the Atlantic Ocean.
