CALL TO ACTION While golf instruction will always be a very viable career path, the movement to golf coaching is growing around the world. International PGA's, as well as other well-respected golf organizations are adjusting their programming to include golf coaching as part of their framework. Athletes, parents, junior developmental and professional tours as well as Golf Canada, Coaching Association of Canada and Sport Canada expect PGA of Canada members to meet the new paradigm prepared not only as a great coach, but as a successful business person. The quantity and quality of the competition in the golf coaching business is increasing. More PGA of Canada members are becoming trained and certified in multiple coaching contexts. Great business skills may be what separates one golf coach from another. Multiple stakeholders are pushing the coaching agenda and being proactive in developing your business skills is a must. Golf's inclusion in four internationally recognized multi-sport games in the next four years is clear evidence that the needs of the athletes are changing and the responsibility in developing great athletes depends on the skills of PGA members as coaches and entrepreneurs. 32
