PGA OF CANADA: ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES ROLE IMPORTANCE Professionals and employers were both asked to report on the importance of each role of the golf profes- sional. Addi onally, golf professionals were asked to report on the role's personal importance and their perceived importance to the organiza on. This was a check point to see the alignment on role importance between professionals and employers. In general, alignment between the two par es in importance is high and there are many instances where the employer importance to the organiza on is higher than perceived by the professional. As a result of these findings, the PGA of Canada will con nue the partnership with the NGCOA Canada on the role of a PGA professional at a facility. We will also partner to determine the variety of roles PGA profes- sionals bring to the opera onand the alignment gaps in role importatnce between professionals and employ- ers. As a result of these findings, the PGA of Canada will use the findings that both PGA professionals and em- ployers see as important to the role of a professional in considera on for developing content core training based off these findings.
