Support the development of hiring, development and evalua on resources for members and owner/operators. The PGA of Canada will aim to develop more resources for all PGA of Canada member categories in all areas of the golf industry. The PGA of Canada will also provide content rela ve to these findings for all members and CFMs to support with training, knowledge and experience in the 20 roles a PGA of Canada professional is performing. As a result of these findings, the PGA of Canada will use the role of the golf professional in aligning training and educa on relevant to the roles members are performing. ROLES OF THE GOLF PROFESSIONAL The chart below breaks it down by the reported performance of the role by job tle. The first column (total doing role %) is the percentage of all golf professionals who responded doing each role. For example, 73% of all golf professionals who responded to the survey conduct "managing retail inventory" in their current posi on. Moving to the columns to the right by job tle, the percentage represents the number of, for example, Assistant Professionals, who perform the role. (i.e. 92% report on managing the customer experience and only 64% report on coordina ng with total facility opera ons. When we look at the chart overall, we can see the most Diversity was found in the Director of Golf posi on, wherein all but one role, more than 85% are involved in all 20 roles. On the flip side, the Teaching Professional is a more specialized role where we see a high percentage of teaching professionals conduc ng fewer roles than other job tles.
