here aren't many places on the planet, let alone
in Canada, that offer the "West Coast Special"
where one can ski in the morning and golf in the
afternoon. But, it can be done in British Columbia,
as the third most-populated province in the country
is home to a plethora of fabulous golf facilities from
Vancouver Island and along the Pacific Coast to the
greater mainland and adjacent to the Canadian Rockies.
DID YOU KNOW? Canada's westernmost province is
home to 304 golf facilities, with 94 percent open to
the public.
The game of golf contributes an estimated $2.08 billion toward British
Columbia's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which includes 44,000 jobs; $1.27
billion in household income; $167 million in property and other indirect
taxes; and about $298 million in federal and provincial income taxes.**
