No. 45—Chris Learmonth—Deep River Golf Club, Ont.—It was said at the 2012 PGA of Ottawa Valley Zone Championship, Chris Learmonth looked like a man who was head and shoulders above the rest of the field. Learmonth also finished 13th at the PGA Club Professional Championship of Canada and should be a player of interest at Magna. No. 46—Jamie Kureluk—Golftec (Calgary), Alta.—He might always be remembered as Mr. 25 for his 11-under-par back-nine at the 2010 Alberta Open, but I'm sure he's OK with that label. Simply put, his raw talents should make him a force this year at Magna. No. 47—Scott Borsa—Carman Golf & Curling Club, Man.—The second player in the field from Manitoba's Carman Golf & Country Club, Scott Borsa comes into Magna with a lot of confidence. He won his second straight PGA of Manitoba Assistants' Championship in May and finished fourth at last year's PGA of Manitoba Zone Championship. No. 48—George Lacko—Pine Grove Golf Club, Ont.—As the 48th seed, George Lacko has the potential to play spoiler at Magna. The 43-year old is a terror in PGA of Northern Ontario events, winning the zone PGA Club Professional Championship last year and finishing third at the zone championship as well. No. 49—Dave Lavallee—The Links at Quarry Oaks, Man.—Making his PGA Championship of Canada debut, Dave Lavallee is a relative unknown outside the Manitoba zone. Since 2010, Lavallee has four top-10 zone event finishes, including a pair of runner-ups at last year's PGA of Manitoba Assistants' and PGA of Manitoba Championship. Mark Strong No. 50—Brian Hadley—Thames Valley Golf Course, Ont.—One thing Hadley isn't afraid of doing is going low and topping impressive fields. At last year's PGA of Ontario Championship, the 32-year old went five deep thru 36-holes, besting the likes of Brian McCann, Bill Walsh, Ian Doig, Brian Hutton and others. No. 51—Kevin Black—Seven Hills Golf & Country Club, B.C.—Kevin Black turned heads at Country Hills last year, rattling off upset wins over Daryl James and Reg Millage in the first two rounds. We'll see how deep the Port Hardy, B.C., head professional can take it this time around at Magna. No. 52—Rob Anderson—Kelowna Golf & Country Club, B.C.—If you ever get a chance, check out Rob Anderson's zero-degree lofted Lovit putter. Last year, Anderson's wand helped him finish second at the PGA of BC Club Professional Championship and sixth at the PGA of BC Zone Championship. No. 53—Paul Schweyer— Idylwylde Golf & Country Club, Ont.—Northern Ontario's Paul Schweyer makes his PGA Championship of Canada debut this year at Magna. A fan favourite in his zone, Schweyer finished fourth at the 2012 PGA of Northern Ontario Club Professional Championship and seventh at the his Zone Championship. No. 54—Andrew Steep—Glendale Golf & Country Club, Man.—The 2012 Moe Norman Apprentice of the Year is not only a great ambassador for the game, but also one heck of a fine player. He finished third at the PGA of Manitoba Assistants' Championship and 10th at the PGA of Manitoba Championship last year.
