No. 34—Kevin Senecal—Le Maitre Tremblant, Que.—What can opponents expect if they face Montreal's Kevin Senecal? For starter's, he's a guy who competes every time he pegs it up. Secondly, he has a good track record at big tournaments—second at last year's PGA of Quebec Assistants' Championship and second at the 2011 PGA of Quebec Zone Championship. No. 35—Louis-Pierre Godin— Ki-8-Eb Club de Golf, Que.—If you're looking to pick a sleeper, look no further than Louis-Pierre Godin. He only has four tournaments counting towards his PGA of Canada Player Rankings stats, but of those four tournaments, he has a second, a third, a ninth and a 10th place finish. No. 36—Colin Murray—Peninsula Lakes Golf Club, Ont.—Affectionately known as The Sloth, Colin Murray is a match play specialist. He's a two-time winner of the PGA of Ontario Match Play (2009 and 2011) and was a semi-finalist again last year. This should prove beneficial at Magna as he makes his PGA Championship of Canada debut. No. 37—Conor O'Shea—Academy at Piper's Heath, Ont.—Connor O'Shea wears many hats—author, YouTube sensation and PGA professional. In 2012, O'Shea's best finish came at Country Hills, where he made it all the way thru to the quarter-finals. No. 38—Bruce Rogerson—Ont.—Wiley veterans like Bruce Rogerson are tough opponents in match play championships. In both 2011 and 2012, he's played well enough to reach the third round. Could he take it a few rounds deeper this year at Magna? Colin Murray No. 39—Ed Maunder—Deerfield Golf & Recreation Centre, Ont.—A six-year veteran of the PGA Tour Canada, Maunder has been terrorizing the Golden Horseshoe Tour in 2013. Might he parlay his early season success into a couple match wins at Magna? No. 40—Christopher Toth—Stony Plain Golf Course, Alta.—As his tournament record indicates, Toth is a player to watch when he tees it up in the Alberta zone. Unfortunately, he doesn't play in too many national championships, which could work in his favour as opponents may have a tendency to over look and underestimate his game. No. 41—John McCann—Fairtree Golf Centre, Ont.—Why is John McCann's game perfectly suited for match play? Well, for starters he absolutely melts it off the tee. And secondly, the guy likes to make birdies. Last year at Country Hills, McCann reeled off seven-straight birdies in his third round match against Edd Boudreau. No. 42—Billy Houle—Berthier Inc. Club de Golf, Que.—Billy Houle plays a limited number of PGA of Canada and PGA of Quebec championships, so his ranking is a little misleading. It would be a major mistake to overlook the talented 32-year old who has a knack for going low. No. 43—Philippe Mongeau—Terrebonne Inc. Club de Golf, Que.—If nothing else, Philippe Mongeau is a consistent finisher. In six events counting towards his PGA of Canada Player Ranking stats, Mongeau hasn't finished outside of the top 20 at either PGA of Quebec events or national championships. No. 44—Mark Strong—Richmond Country Club, B.C.—Mark Strong has a way of putting himself in contention. Case and point: he played in the final group at both the 2011 Canada Cup and last year's PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada at Jasper Park Lodge.
