COMPETITION COACHING STREAM GRAYDON D Beth Barz Assistant Coach, Men's Varsity Rugby, Royal Military College Key Leadership Lessons for Lifelong Development as a Coach Beth was the 2006 U Sports women's rugby Coach of the Year, and is the current Assistant coach of the men's varsity rugby team at the Royal Military College. Barz is a brilliant example of the power of coach development and education. Citing early role models in her high school Physical Education department, she has taken her own learning and development to an impressive level. Those experiences showed her that it was possible to think about coaching as a profession and as an area where she could not only help others grow but herself as well. A graduate from the School of Physical Education and a women's rugby alumnus, Barz has completed her NCCP Level 4 certification in rugby and is a Learning Facilitator and Mentor Coach for the Advanced Coach Diploma program. She is also a Master Learning Facilitator and Evaluator in Rugby and a Multi-sport Learning Facilitator. Additionally, Beth is an International Rugby Board Educator.
