In 2016 he coached Team Canada in the Rio Olympics and has led five World Amateur Team Championships including winning a silver medal in Japan in 2014. Derek is a two-time recipient of the PGA of Canada Teacher of the Year Award (2003 & 2007) and more recently, the winner of the PGA of Canada's Coach of the Year in 2016. Derek is always engaging in higher education and has a thirst for acquiring knowledge that will help his students get better, faster. Derek is a gifted teacher whose passion and contagious enthusiasm shines through as he helps golfers of all levels achieve their goals and be their best. INSTRUCTION STREAM SOUTH STUDIO 3 Alastair Spink, MSc, PGA Head Coach, love.golf, England love.golf and Female Participation: Turning Research Into Practice Alastair Spink has 30+ years of experience within the golf. He is a member of the 2018 PGA's of Europe Development Team and England Golf's Women & Girls advisory panel. Alastair designed a female participation and coaching that has grown into an internationally acclaimed project called love.golf. As love.golf's head coach he is helping to create opportunities and best practice for building and growing a community of new and existing female golfers. In 2014, Alastair completed a Post Graduate degree in Sports Coaching and more recently a Master's degree with a focus upon gender and the sport versus social challenges experienced by many women as they negotiate their participation through golf.
